The striking Makassar playing surface produces a surprisingly strong bass, and its special resonance box made of SPL (sonic projection ligneum - a combination of wood fibre and resin) represents a new dimension in cajon construction. Additionally, the extremely rich snare sound generated by the 84 snare spirals definitively sets this model apart. The resonance box has a black finish that attractively contrasts the makassar veneer playing surface. For appearance and sound, the Makassar stands out.

The Cajon 2inOne Deluxe has achieved a revolutionary synthesis between a drum set and a hand percussion instrument. The addition of internal snare spirals that contact the interior of the playing surface enables the Cajon 2inOne to sound remarkably similar to a drum set, with the full bass and snare sounds. The snare spirals are extremely sensitive and the player is rewarded with a rich snare sound even at minimal volume. Basically, it is a drum set in a box but is much more portable.

The snare effect can also be removed by adjusting the snare spirals, making this cajon capable of producing entirely different sounds. It truly is two drums in one. Additionally, protective "feet" on the bottom serve to guard the cajon from damage while playing.
