Schlagwerk Yambu Peruano Drum With Floor Stand

$543.26  $496.47
Special: $46.79 off

The queen of Yambu drums is indisputably the Peruano. The playing surface produces crisp snare sounds and extremely full bass tones, which can easily breathe through the new floor stand. By using a conga playing technique, very clear slaps can be produced as well. The resonance box is made of seven layers of alder wood, while the playing surface consists of a burl veneer. It can be used as the perfect cajon substitute in any percussion setup.

The unique design of the Yambu Peruano includes internal snare strings that rest against the inside of the playing surface. The special construction form and clever interior design give this instrument its unmistakably unique bass and snare sounds, which are remarkably similar to an authentic drum sound. The built in snare characterizes the sound of this yambu drum. The Yambu Peruano can be played conga-style, thereby producing sounds similar to the Cajon la Peru. Rods, brushes and mallets can also be used to produce more unique sounds.

Schlagwerk's yambu drum series unites new instrument shapes with the traditional sound of the Cuban cajon. The wooden striking surface reacts as flexibly as a conventional drum skin. The octagonal shape of the yambu is very player-friendly, and has a positive influence on the character of the drum's resonance.

The Yambu Peruano includes an ingeniously simple yet solid wooden stand. This sturdy and highly portable cross stand offers the perfect support for the Peruano. And, the black finish on the stand attractively contrasts the natural finish on the resonance box. This natural finish lets the beauty of the wood show through.

Schlagwerk's attention to detail, skilled craftsmanship, and innovation are reflected in all their products. Their yambus are no exception. For more than 25 years, Schlagwerk Percussion has been intensively developing their products, which have gained worldwide recognition. The instruments that belong to the cajon family (cajones, cajintos, and yambus) enchant us with soft wooden playing surfaces and produce all the nuances of modern percussion sounds, ranging from high, assertive characteristics to voluminous bass sounds.

The Yambu Peruano is a professional, unique, and versatile drum that can be used in many musical settings. This is an awesome drum that any drummer or percussionist would greatly enjoy playing and owning.
