Percussion Effects Instruments

There are many percussion effects instruments that have been developed over the years. The roots of these percussion instruments go back thousands of years. In fact, the original versions of some of these percussion instruments may have been some of the first musical instruments ever made. If one listens closely to songs from many styles of music, percussion effects instruments can be heard frequently.

Percussion effects instruments can be used to add complementary sounds to the music a drummer or percussionist is playing. Because of their variety and versatility, percussion effects instruments can be used in any musical style and setting. Whether using a collection of bells, blocks, shakers, jingle sticks, reco-recos, claves, or tubes and rods, drummers and percussionists can add new dimensions to their music through the addition of these instruments.

Every drummer and percussionist needs to have a collection of percussion effects instruments. Drum kit drummers would benefit greatly from having a few of these percussion instruments in their drum set up. It would enable them to produce many interesting sounds and effects. They can also be taken to drum circles to enhance the rhythms produced by the hand drums. Percussion effects instruments are definitely a great addition to any musical setting.
